FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Please reach us at drive@arocbonneville.com if you cannot find an answer to your question. Check back periodically to see new questions as people seek new information!

Obviously, bringing an Alfa to the event is ideal but your non-Alfa is welcome at all driving  events. The only exception will be the Concorsa. Only Alfa Romeos may be shown at the  Concorsa on Saturday.

Yes, you'll need an AROC-USA membership to register through the ClubExpress portal. To register, the event button is only visible to logged-in members. If you're not yet a member, you can join here: https://www.aroc-usa.org/membership-development/

However, our Concorsa d'Eleganza and vendor area will be open to the public. Also, associated Alfa Romeo Owner's Groups can register for the event.

You are welcome to stay anywhere you'd like but registration and many of central events will be at the Courtyard Marriott in Ogden. The good news is that Ogden is very walkable and if the hotel sells out, there are many additional hotels short walking distance away.

If you have registered and want to modify your registration; add, change, remove, you need to go to the AROC Calendar, find the event, and then click the Edit My Registration button.

  • If you add or change activities or merchandise that doesn’t cause a change in the amount owed nothing happens in payment.
  • If you add or change activities or merchandise that causes an increase you will get billed for the additional amount.
  • If you remove items you have already paid for, then ClubExpress will add a credit to their account.
  • That can be viewed in their Profile >> Histories >> Payment/Credit History.  You can, at that pointm leave it there for to pay for something in the future or we can issue you a check. Reach out to drive@aroc-bonneville.com in this case.

Historic 25th Street, just steps from the Courtyard Marriott, is lined with independent restaurants, craft breweries, wine bars, and coffee shops — all within an easy walk. Ogden has shed its rough-around-the-edges reputation and the street is genuinely lively in the evenings. It's a good spot to wander after the day's events without needing to drive anywhere. The Junction is also nearby and also offers many other restaurant options.

It's one of the better events for exactly that. AROC conventions draw a mix of longtime members and first-timers, and the shared obsession with Italian cars is a fast equalizer. The Gimmick Rally on opening day is a particularly good icebreaker. You're thrown together with other attendees in a low-stakes, good-humored format that tends to dissolve any awkwardness quickly. Don't be surprised if you leave with a group chat and plans for next year.

Yes, it can. Ogden sits at around 4,300 feet and the canyon drives push well above 6,000. Carbureted engines run rich at altitude because the air is thinner but the fuel delivery stays the same. You may notice sluggish throttle response, sooty plugs, or a tendency to foul on cold starts. If your car has adjustable jets, leaning the mixture slightly before the trip is worth doing. Fuel-injected cars compensate automatically and won't have the same issue.

Ogden is genuinely good for this. The city has strong independent retail and food on 25th Street, several museums, and easy access to walking, hiking and biking trails in and around town. Salt Lake City is 40 minutes south and has major museums, a symphony, and Temple Square. A non-car person could fill the week without attending a single event and still have a worthwhile trip.

Most social and display events are family-friendly, and the Concorso at Huntsville City Park is an outdoor setting that works well for all ages. Drive events and the Gimmick Rally are designed around the cars, so younger children in the car for hours of canyon driving is a judgment call depending on the child. The ghost tours are listed as not for the faint of heart, which is probably a fair warning for very young kids. Evening events are for adult attendees only. Contact us at drive@aroc-bonneville.com  for specific questions about any event.

Arriving early is strongly recommended. Grid positions are assigned in advance based on class, but early arrivals get first choice within their assigned area and have time to lay out a car cover, set up a small display, and clean off any road dust from the drive to Huntsville. Judges typically begin walking the field within an hour of the official opening, so arriving right at the start time leaves almost no margin. Plan for the drive to Huntsville City Park to take 20 to 25 minutes from the convention hotel depending on traffic through the canyon.

You can receive a refund for the 2026 convention up until August 15th, 2026.  Contact the organizers directly at drive@aroc-bonneville.com before requesting any refund to ensure it is properly processed.

Ogden is not a hotbed of Italian car specialists, but Salt Lake City has a small community of independent European car shops.  There are reliable mechanics in town for general service But a more useful resource is the convention itself. With 100 or more Alfa owners in one place, we can help resolve issues and identify someone to get you help.

Dogs are welcome anywhere dogs are allowed publicly. However, our convention hotel doesn't allow pets.  Check other local hotels or even B&Bs to see if your pet may join you.
